The PDPC has released the responses it received on the public consultation on NRICs and they are very interesting, including this whopper of a response:

This is not an opportunity to name and shame someone (that’s why I am not making the organisation obvious), since depending on how you’ve been using NRICs, it is at least somewhat plausible that you could have depended so heavily so that any change would incur such costs.

I will be studying the public responses to glean what kind of lessons and trends can be made out of it. So stay tuned!
