What personal data we collect and why we collect it#

When you browse this blog#

This site uses Matomo Analytics. I collect data on how you use this website to learn more and improve my website. While Matomo Analytics can collect a lot of data about you like any analytics tool (where you come from, what device you used etc), it anonymises data so that I get the information I legitimately need, but not in excessive detail that it would pose a privacy risk to you. I keep visitors logs for 180 days and do not share them with anyone.

Email Newsletter Subscription#

I run a monthly newsletter based on this blog: https://buttondown.email/lovelawrobots. You can find the privacy policy of the service there. You can find the options to unsubscribe in the newsletters delivered to you.

Discussion and commenting#

Leaving comments and Contact Form: Several posts and pages may offer the feature of leaving comments. By commenting, you agree to disclose the information you have shared on the comment form (such as name, email address, and site URL). Comments are also spam checked by Jetpack and Akismet. Comments and personal information shared are not deleted by default.

Contacting me: You could email me for a discussion or whatever, and generally speaking, I would treat the personal information you provide to me as I would a friend or a stranger. Let me know in your communication if you have any preferences.

What rights you have over your data#

You can stop any of the above activities from collecting personal data from you by using the tools mentioned. If you need help, you can always contact me by email. You can also email me to ask for a copy of the data I have on you, or erase such data.

This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
