A pretty scathing letter on the Personal Data Protection Commission was published in the national newspaper on 23 November 2017. The main complaint can be summarized in a straightforward manner as follows:

What hope is there for the public when the PDPC itself seems to neither support its Act nor believe in its own mission?

Without knowing the full facts (from the PDPC, that is), it is hard to tell who is in the right or wrong. I would like to think it is a service issue, since there may have been a miscommunication. I hope the PDPC does make a reply since the national newspaper does have a penchant for publishing inane letters from its readers.
