`I mentioned this forum letter on the Straits Times earlier regarding a disgruntled customer. As expected, the Singapore Personal Data Protection Commission responded with a civil service reply (I used to write these things in a previous life).
Basically, the case is not closed and his “patience” is appreciated. Hopefully, all parties get to the bottom of this, and this is merely just the one rare complaint which was not handled the most gracefully.
At this juncture, it’s useful to note that writing an effective complaint is important to get your point across and ensure your concerns are adequately addressed. In today’s newspaper, you might be regarded as someone keeping the PDPC on its toes; on another day, you might be treated as a loony!
